Old Sarawak Steamship Building

The Sarawak Steamship Building was previously the office and warehouse of the Sarawak Steamship Company and its predecessor, the Sarawak and Singapore Steamship Company, which helped build Sarawak’s infrastructure and encourage trade since 1875. Today, this building located along the Kuching Waterfront is now the home of the Kuching Waterfront Bazaar and is used as a restaurant, with adjacent retail and display spaces housing dozens of stalls selling a wide range of handicrafts and souvenirs.
