Miri Reef
Video Description :
"The dive sites include drop-offs, reefs and shipwrecks, offering, offering divers sights of colourful hard and soft coral formations." Within the 150 square kilometres triangle off the shoreline of Miri lies some of the most pristine coral reefs in the Indo-Pacific basin. Just 30 minutes boat ride away from the Miri River mouth is the golden triangle of underwater haven. Some of these coral reefs have been earmarked for scuba diving and their reefs are compatible with other world-renowned dive sites. The dive sites include drop-offs, reefs and shipwrecks, offering, offering divers sights of colourful hard and soft coral formations. Marine life in the area include butterflyfish, clownfish, filefish, angelfish, basslets, grunts, sea fan, sponges, crustaceans such as shrimps, crabs and lobsters. However, be prepared as it may take a week for divers to explore the many dive sites located here. The patch reefs off the coast of Miri range from depths of 7 to 30 metres and is comfortable for beginners as well as advanced divers. Most of the time, there is no current and the average visibility is between 10 to 30 metres. Some of the deeper dive sites can have the visibility of 40 metres.
