| Kuching: Tiger Airways celebrates its new route, between Singapore and Kuching, with 3,500 seats on sale for RM69 inclusive of taxes and charges. The fantastic low fare is on sale until Nov 18 for travels between Nov 20 and Dec 15. Tiger Airways Singapore managing director Rosalynn Tay said the airline was eager to begin travels to Kuching. “Now is the time to take advantage of the low fare for the ideal quick getaway. However, I must warn you that the prices would not last long,” she said in a press statement yesterday. Tiger Airways’ expansion in East Malaysia comes as the airline takes delivery of additional brand new A320s into its Singapore fleet. The new plane takes the group fleet to 13 aircraft with three more being delivered by March 2009. To facilitate this expansion, Tiger Airways is currently recruiting pilots, cabin crew and support staff to be based in Singapore and Australia. “It is a great time to be a true low fare airline. While others are cutting services and grounding planes, with our disciplined cost control means we can continue to grow our paw print with confidence across the Asia Pacific region.” “Our expansion creates new job opportunities for those interested in working at one of Asia Pacific’s more exciting airlines,” Tay said.
