Sarawak Tourism Board will once again stage Malaysia’s premiere tourism event – The Rainforest World Music Festival, this coming July.

The 12^th edition of the festival will be stage at Sarawak Cultural Village in Kuching, Sarawak, from July 10 to 12.

More than 22,000 people are expected to attend this festival which will feature 17 renowned world music performers from all corners of the world. Promised to be another exciting edition of RWMF, festival goers can expect an interesting mix of world music beat from the bands. They will also showcase some of their unique instruments at the festival as well.

Of the 17, four bands are Malaysia’s very own groups and they are AkashA, Asika, Kinabalu Merdu Sound and Lan-e Tuyang.

The other bands are Zawose Family Africa from Tanzania, Noreummachi (Korea), Moana & the Tribe (New Zealand), Red Chamber (Canada/China), Jouhiorkesteri (Finland), Muzsikas (Hungary), Inti Illimani (Chile), Jeff & The Vida (USA), Dazkarieh (Portugal), Oudaden (Morocco), Poum Tchak (France), Asika (Malaysia), Sekaa Jaya Jenggala (Indonesia) and The Nicholas Orchestra (Poland).
